Sale e Pepe trattoria offers a large selection of starters, pastas and main courses. One of the trattoria’s main attractions is its antipasto table which is situated in the middle of the restaurant. Patrons can get up and select from an array of different types of cold antipasti which are freshly prepared every day. Other starters which are offered are pepata the cozze e vongole (fresh mussels and clams) caprese salad which is served with fresh buffalo mozzarella, beef carpaccio and parma ham and melon. Freshly made soups of the day are also offered.
The trattoria has a large selection of pasta dishes on its menu. Traditional pasta dishes such as spaghetti carbonara, lasagne with ragu au gratin and home made "tagliolini" in a rich seafood sauce . For those who prefer stuffed pasta we offer home made ravioli stuffed with goat's cheese with a tomato and basil sauce and home made tortelloni filled with rabbit. For clients who prefer pasta dishes which are full of flavour, spaghetti with fresh mussles and cherry tomatoes; risotto with a mix of wild mushrooms and gnocchi with blue cheese and cream are a must to try.
Fresh fish of the day is offered depending on what the market offers. Fish dishes on the menu include Fried calamari; Baked seabass; Pan fried giant prawns served with grilled vegetables; grilled tuna steaks served (when in season); and Sale e Pepe's specilaity, fillet of salmon in a potato crust. For patrons preferring red meat, fresh beef rib-eye and fresh beef fillet are available and can be complemented with anyone one of our variety of sauces. House specialites, which are a must to try, are the beef "Ossobuco alla Milanese" and the home made "Porchetta". For those who prefer white meat, the stuffed chicken breast, veal chop in breadcrumbs and the veal escalopes with lemon juice are also available. Specialities are changed on a daily basis.
